A $2 billion global business unit needed to develop a three-year vision, mission, and set of strategies. Aviv Consulting was brought in to help the executive team create and implement this plan. To expand market share and grow top-line revenue, the team needed to decide where to allocate resources to capitalize on the best opportunities for accelerating growth and mitigating risks.

What we did

We helped the strategy and planning team create a range of future scenarios and evaluate threats and opportunities. We facilitated a series of strategy horizon workshops to generate a full range of strategic alternatives. We then conducted a three-day strategy summit in which a broad global team generated new options and solutions and agreed on top priorities.

Results

The challenge – Design transformation and create differentiation

Leaders of the purchasing organization of a large multinational corporation embarked on a bold undertaking: to develop a world class global purchases function over the next 10 years. The objective was to create a blueprint of how the organization – its work, design, and partnering strategy – would need to change to meet the challenges and opportunities ahead. Aviv Consulting was brought in to choreograph the process and ensure organizational members became fully engaged.

What we did

We coached leaders to ask the questions that enabled them to create a transformation roadmap to build the desired future and drive significant value for the company. We applied a series of modalities to develop a broad and accelerated engagement and generate strategic foresights. The roadmap included a series of frameworks and workshops with large and diverse focus groups to harvest insights on how essential fields will change. Additionally, we conducted a series of interviews to harvest the broad perspective of the company’s thought leaders and identify opportunities for quick wins and potential pilots. Finally, we conducted a three-day leadership summit with 50 leaders to solidify the framework and vision of the organization and prioritize key initiatives and opportunities.

Results

The organization developed an action plan and a journey map for quick wins and future initiatives. The leadership team aligned on a series of breakthrough ideas that will enable them to:

What we did

The procurement organization of a multi-national corporation was undergoing a major transformation – integrating new responsibilities and doubling in size. What we did

We designed and facilitated a three-day strategy summit, which enabled the extended team to come together for the first time. Through a series of discussions and brainstorming sessions, they aligned priorities and created a strategic roadmap. The summit included strategic modules as well as inter-personal coaching and the Three Pillars of Trust practices.

Results

The team effectively compressed a nine-month process into three days and agreed on eight concrete organizational and strategic initiatives. What we did

We designed a three-legged leadership talent program:

Results

Some 96% of participants reported that the program positively contributed to their job satisfaction and engagement, and helped them create a sense of community at work. 98% of participants said the program helped them better understand their strengths and be more strategic about their career development and personal growth. What we did

We designed a coaching club curriculum that involved a series of individual coaching sessions with each of the managers and a series of workshops with the whole group. The individual coaching sessions focused on concrete situational needs within their projects, as well as personal goals. The workshops focused on communication skills and a series of influencing frameworks.
